The hundred against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui was SKY’s second ton in a calendar year (2022). Earlier this year, SKY scored 117 runs against England in Nottingham. Surya is only the second Indian batsman after Rohit Sharma to score two hundreds in the same year. He achieved the feat in 2018.
d. Most T20I hundreds for India
Surya Kumar Yadav is now joint second highest when it comes to most T20I hundreds for India. He equaled KL Rahul’s record of two tons in 72 matches, and only Rohit Sharma is ahead of SKY with four hundreds in the format.

e. 1st Indian to score a T20I hundred in New Zealand
SuryaKumar Yadav plays a 360* shot against New Zealand at the Bay Oval on Sunday.Suryakumar Yadav is the first Indian batsman to score a T20I hundred in New Zealand. He is also the only Indian batsman to score a hundred in England and New Zealand.
f. 4th T20I hundred at Mount Maunganui, the first by an overseas player.
Suryakumar Yadav joins Colin Munro and Glenn Philips (both from New Zealand) to score a T20I hundred in Mount Maunganui. Munro is the only batsman to notch up two T20I hundreds at the venue. SKY is the only overseas batsman to reach a three-figure score at the venue.
g. 50+ runs by an Indian batter in the last 5 overs of a T20I
SKY has scored most runs in the last five overs in T20Is for India. After his exploits at the Bay Oval, SKY has smashed 50 runs or more in the last 30 balls, on three occasions. The other two are Hardik Pandya (2) and Virat Kohli (1).
h. 3rd fastest hundred for India in T20Is
SuryaKumar Yadav smashed his hundred in only 49 balls against New Zealand. This is the third fastest hundred by an Indian batsman in the format, after Rohit Sharma (35 balls vs Sri Lanka in 2017) and KL Rahul (46 balls vs West Indies in 2016).

Surya Kumar Yadav bagged his 7th man of the match performance this year at the end of the 2nd T20I against New Zealand. He has now overtaken Virat Kohli’s record, who bagged 6 MoM performances in 2016 in 13 innings. SKY took 30 innings to break Kohli’s record.
