Previously, after India’s win yesterday, Jay Shah announced a cash reward of 5 Crore for the entire team and the support staff as prize money for winning the tournament.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah took to social media to congratulate the Indian team. He wrote, “Women’s Cricket in India is on the upswing and the World Cup triumph has taken the stature of women’s cricket several notches higher. I am delighted to announce INR 5 crore for the entire team and support staff as prize money. This is surely a path-breaking year.”

Jay Shah further invited the victorious team to travel to Ahmedabad to witness the India vs NewZealand 3rd T20I game. He said, “I invite
@TheShafaliVerma and her victorious team to join us at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and witness the third T20I on 1st February. This humongous achievement surely calls for a celebration. @BCCI @BCCIWomen”

The bandwagon reached Ahmedabad to play the series decider between India vs NewZealand. The Men in Blue had their only practice session in Ahmedabad on Tuesday before the 3rd T20.

India defeated the Kiwis in Lucknow to bring the series to level terms. The team lost the opening T20 in Ranchi on a turning track. Hardik Pandya and Co will look to keep their series win stat intact with a strong display at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
