India will play a T20I series with New Zealand and then follow it up with two Test matches. The T20Is will be played on November 17 in Jaipur, November 19 in Ranchi, and November 21 in Kolkata. The two Tests will be played in Kanpur (November 25-29) and Mumbai (December 3-7).
However, Rahul Dravid said despite back to back series, the priority will be on players’ wellbeing. In future, senior and junior players alike, they will be rotated to keep the, fresh.
“It is the most important thing as far as I am concerned, I will always be in conversation with them and I will try to make sure that we have players fresh and fully switched on and we need to recognise it. It is challenging times for players, especially for those who are expected to play all formats of the game. We need to work with them, we might not be able to play every single player, we need to accept the reality. We get the schedule right, we will get all our players on the park and we will be a very formidable team,” he added

“I do not think we are at that point where we are looking at separate teams, Rohit I would want to play every format. We are not at that point where we are looking at separate teams, we are not going to do that. Of course, there are certain individuals who play certain formats of the game and that happens. In times like these, we need to be in conversations with the players and we need to respect players’ mental and physical health,” he added.
