The incident took place in the 14th over. Ish Sodhi bowled a short ball at leg stump, Hardik wanted to pull played it too early. Top-edge hangs to Jimmy Neesham at mid-wicket as he sprints to his left. Neesham then jumps at the very end with his right hand going over his left shoulder and manages to get a hand on it. Although he couldn’t take it but managed to pat it in and saved five runs.

Meanwhile, after being put in to bat first, Virat Kohli & Co once again failed to get off to a solid start. Barring Hardik Pandya’s 23 off 24 and Ravindra Jadeja’s 26* off 19, India’s top-order failed once again and India could only set a 111-run target for New Zealand.
