“It means a lot to me, getting a Test hundred in Wankhede is always special for any Indian cricketer. This inning wasn’t as nice as it was looking. It wasn’t the easiest of innings but it was all grit and determination. It’s all about making the plan and sticking to it. I am happy to bat throughout the day,” Mayank Agarwal said in a BCCI video.
“All I was trying to do is go as close to the ball as possible and sometimes I yorked myself in that process. I tried to go with the spin,” he added.

Mayank Agarwal also revealed that getting runs in Test cricket is the most satisfying feeling.
“I am really grateful. Always, first thanks to God for helping me, giving me the opportunity for what I have achieved. Test cricket is something I look forward to, something all of us as kids dream to play. And getting runs in this format- Hardest format of the game is the most satisfying feeling. You don’t really get this feeling very often. Test cricket really tests you but when you do well, there’s a sense of satisfaction.”
