IND vs NZ 3rd ODI – India Playing XI 3rd ODI – With the series already in the pocket, Rohit Sharma has already begun preparations for the India vs Australia Test series. Even though two pacers — Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj — were the pick of the bowlers, Rohit utilised them only for 12 overs in the 2nd ODI. Rohit later clarified that with the important IND vs AUS Test coming up, he wants to keep the two pacers fresh. Hence, in the dead-rubber 3rd ODI in Indore, one of the two will be rested for Umran Malik. Follow India vs NewZealand LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.
“In the last five games, bowlers have really stepped up. Whatever we have asked of them, they have stepped up and delivered. You don’t usually see this type of seam movement in India, you generally see it outside India. These guys have some serious skills, they work really hard and it’s great to see them being rewarded. Shami and Siraj were raring to keep bowling long spells. But I reminded them that there is a Test series coming up as well. So, we need to take care of themselves as well,” Rohit Sharma said at the post-match presentation.
