India have a big selection headache heading into the Kanpur test, KL Rahul ruled out due to injury. With both first-choice openers Rohit Sharma and Rahul out, India will go with Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal at the top, which opens up a slot in the middle order in the absence of captain Virat Kohli. Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer will both be contesting for the spot, with the two Mumbai stars yet to make their debut in the longest format of the game.
