With his heroic performances with the ball in the just concluded Lord’s Test, Siraj has topped the list leaving behind Kapil Dev’s record which stood at 8/168.
Mohammed Siraj’s bowling at Lord’s
The right-arm pace Indian bowler was breathing fire during the contest at Lord’s. Besides the disciplined bowling, Siraj’s aggressive behaviour and his gesture of ‘silent sendoffs’ after claiming the oppositions’ wicket have been yet another talking point.
While the 27-year old returned with figures 30-7-94-4 in the first innings, he claimed 10.5-3-32-4 in his second outing.
Besides claiming England’s crucial wickets in the two innings, Siraj toppled two wickets in successive deliveries during England’s batting. In the first innings, Siraj sent off Dominic Sibley and Haseeb Hameed while in the second innings he defined Moeen Ali’s and Sam Curran’s way to the pavilion.
