Former India all-rounder and World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh revealed that he had a little pep talk with Rishabh Pant before the IND vs ENG 3rd ODI. While Yuvi did not divulge any details, the 45-minute conversation seems to have worked as Pant slammed his maiden ODI century at Old Trafford to guide India to victory. The 24-year-old remained unbeaten on 125 to seal a tricky 260-run chase, breaking a slew of records in the process.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag was also bowled over by the Rishabh Pant show and hailed the youngster for his match-winning effort. Sehwag noted Pant’s ability to churn out match-winning knocks in series deciders and termed it a “better love story than Twilight.”

Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan also joined in on the bandwagon lauding Pant’s Old Trafford epic. Pathan named the Indian wicketkeeper as one of the dangerous players around, and considered as one of the best by an Indian batsmen in England.
