Kohli has one more game in the series before another period of extended rest. The 33-year-old has been left out of both ODI and T20 squads for the West Indies and will make a return for the Asia Cup late month. The RCB superstar had missed the first T20I with India opting give rest to the Test stars, and then missed the first ODI due to injury.

Kohli’s form has created a lot of debate, with many experts now running out of patience. Former India captain Kapil Dev recently suggested that the 33-year-old cannot just rely on his reputation and should be dropped from the side. Irfan Pathan, who featured alongside Kohli in the Indian colours, wrote: “No one comes to form while resting.”
