IND vs ENG 4th Test: 5 things India need to do to win the match

  • Ravinder Jadeja will play a key role on Day 5 with the roughs helping him turn the ball.
  • He has bowled inconsistent lines and length on Day 4. He has to be consistent.
  • Four seamers will have to chip in. All have had an off day in the afternoon session on Day 4.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin is a big miss but in his absence, the seamers will have to play the supportive role.
  • Umesh Yadav is one experienced bowler, bowling in similar condition and his line and length could be crucial.
  • Utilising the first hours is the other important aspect. Although the pitch has no help for the seamers, Indian seamers will need to utilise the cloud cover on Day 5 and get the opening pairs out before they settle in.
  • Joe Root: The key to winning the Test is Joe Root. If India get him out quickly, India will move one step closer to victory.
