Virat Kohli has received a lot of criticism lately, but at the T20 World Cup in Australia, he silenced detractors with his bat. However, there is a noticeable decline in his form again following the T20 WC. Kohli was removed for one run in the opening essay of the currently ongoing first Test at Chattogram.
Despite failing, he was seen practising his left-arm spinner eye against Saurabh Kumar in the nets.
As a coach, it is never easy to watch when a player of Virat Kohli’s magnitude is going through a bad stretch of form, according to ravid, who has been in charge since late 2021.
“It was not easy for him since the standards that he has set for himself,” Dravid told official broadcaster SonyLiv in an interview.
“It has been a fantastic to watch Virat Kohli train and prepare over the last one and a half years,” Dravid further added.
“Virat Kohli is incredible, his preparation is a lesson for all the youngsters, he looks more hungry and to do well for the team,” he said.
Virat Kohli, one of the Indian team’s biggest star, shattered the chains and struck a century against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 after a protracted dry spell under Dravid.
“As coaches it is our job to look beyond those numbers and see that he had batted really well in that period of time,” the India head coach concluded.

“There was one ugly incident in Durban that I don’t wanna talk about. He (Rahul Dravid) and Sachin were smoking us to all parts. I overstepped the mark a little bit. I’ve just nothing but massive respect for Rahul. I would like to go out and sit with Rahul and say sorry to him again about what happened that day. I just had to do something silly that brought his wicket actually. But I still apologise for what I said that day. What a guy, what a great bloke. So Rahul, if you are listening. I would love to have a night out with you,” Donald said.
In a separate interview, Donald message was shown to David. When asked to react to Donald’s offer, the illustrious Indian cricketer provided a classic answer. With a chuckle, Dravid responded, “Absolutely, I look forward to it, especially if he is paying.”
