IND vs BAN Live: Why India should be wary of Litton Das, Taksin Ahmed & Hasan Mahmud?

Das, Ahmed, and Mahmud have been pillars of Bangladesh in the shortest format of the game. All three players have shown remarkable consistency and have proven to be match-winners on their given day. Pace bowler Ahmed has been superb in the ICC T20 World Cup so far picking up 8 wickets in three games. Litton Das is Bangladesh’s most aggressive and bankable player in the shortest format.

Here at InsideSport, we explain why Ahmed, Mahmud, and Litton Das are dangermen for India

Insidesport

1. Litton Das

Litton Das not only is the team’s best player in the shortest format, but also the X-factor of the team. His strike rate of 127 is the best among Bangladesh batters. The stylish right-hand batter has all shots and sets the tempo early in the innings. Das can also play an anchor role to perfection and is not limited to just the slam-bang approach to batting. With Bangladesh openers not firing, the onus will on Das to do well against India.

He has not got going so far in the T20 World Cup scoring 9, 34, and 14 runs. Against India, the right-hand batter will be itching to make a statement.

2. Taskin Ahmed

Not Mustafizuer Rahman, but Taskin Ahmed has proven to be the main wicket-taker for Bangladesh. In two games against Netherlands and Zimbabwe, the right-arm pacer has struck decisive blows in power play. Ahmed’s fitness has improved and his accuracy in line and lengths have also been spot on. He consistently bowls at 135 and is hard to get in power play. With both India openers not in form, Ahmed will fancy his chances of exploiting in Adelaide Oval.

3. Hasan Mahmud

Hasan Mahmud has quietly flown under the radar with consistent performances in the T20 format. His speed sets him apart from Mustafizuar and Taskin Ahmed. Not only pace, but Mahmud can swing the ball both ways. The right-arm pacer is quick of the pitch and rushes the batter with a unique bowling action. Mahmud has picked up 3 wickets in three matches in the T20 World Cup. Although they are not huge numbers, it is his economy rate of under 8 runs over that is impressive.
