To note, this was not the first time that Kohli had given a signed jersey to his opponents. Earlier, Kohli also gifted a signed jersey to Pakistan’s express pacer Haris Rauf after his match winning knock against arch-rivals Pakistan during the 2022 T20 World Cup. Despite being aggressive on the field, Kohli never fails to wow his fans with his adorable gestures off the field and is a great ambassador for the game.

Kohli did not had a great time in the first three games of the Border-Gavaskar series as the star batter managed to amass just 111 runs in five innings averaging a shade above 22. However, the right-handed batter brought out his best in the final Test match where he smashed 186 runs in 364 deliveries. The 34-year-old was also adjudged the player of the match for his heroics with the bat.

“To be honest, the expectations I have from myself as a player is more to important to me. I felt I was batting well from the first innings at Nagpur. We focused on batting for long. I did that to an extent but not to the capability that I have done in the past,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation.

“Was a little disappointed for that. Relief from the point of view that I could play the way I wanted to play. I was happy with my defence. I am not in a space now where I will go out and prove someone wrong. I also need to justify why I am there on the field,” he added.
