IND vs AUS Indore Test: India Practice Indore – India pacer Umesh Yadav will join the team in Indore after an extended 3-day break. BCCI granted the pacer some extra days as he lost his father on Thursday. Yadav completed his father’s last rights in Nagpur on Friday. Although Umesh Yadav has been part of the team, he hasn’t played any matches so far in the series. With spin-heavy conditions, Rohit Sharma has trusted to go with only 2 seamers in Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj. But that could change in Indore.
With Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association bringing in red soil to prepare the Holkar Stadium pitch, it will be conducive of pace and bounce. That could prompt Team India to opt for a third seamer. Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav and in-form Jaydev Unadkat will fight for the spots.
Our deepest condolences, support and heartfelt sympathies to @y_umesh and his family on the loss of his father. May you find the strength to cope with this immense loss. We are all with you in this difficult phase.

3 Big decisions for Rahul Dravid & Rohit Sharma in Indore: However, change in conditions will also force Rohit and Rahul to make changes to their plans. India have so far only changed once with Suryakumar Yadav making way for Shreyas Iyer.
- Shubman Gill or KL Rahul?
- Give Ishan Kishan a go or persist with KS Bharat?
- 3 spinners or 3 seamers?

Shubman Gill vs KL Rahul – Out of form and under fire, KL Rahul has dominated discussions. While the selectors have stripped him of vice-captaincy, Rohit and Rahul have backed him to regain form. Now, it remains to be seen whether KL Rahul plays in Irani Cup to regain confidence or continue to keep his place in the Playing XI. Shubman Gill has been hot on his heels with tremendous form. But he has only warmed the bench so far.
Ishan Kishan or KS Bharat? – Despite putting up a brilliant display behind the stumps, KS Bharat hasn’t made his willow talking. With scores of 8, 6 & 23*, he hasn’t done justice in Rishabh Pant’s absence. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan has shown he is still in good touch with red-ball after slamming a century in Ranji Trophy return. However, it is likely that the team management will persist with KS Bharat.
3 seamers or 3 spinners? – Another big decision for captain-coach duo will be on the bowling combination. The red soil will help pacers with bounce. But spinners will have a say as the match progresses. With Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin sharing the most wickets among them, they are untouchables. The only place that could be debated is of Axar Patel. But the left-arm spinner has done wonders with the bat. Hence, it will be a tough call for the team management.
India’s Test squad for third and fourth Test: Rohit Sharma (Captain), K L Rahul, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, KS Bharat (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat.
