IND vs AUS Test LIVE: David Warner stated that he is “tired, exhausted” ahead of the crucial India Tour. The opener said he would prefer to take an additional night off rather than attend Monday’s Cricket Australia awards ceremony. Notably, there’s a short turnaround period ahead of the blockbuster four-match Border-Gavaskar series looming in less than two weeks in India, where Warner has a less-than-ideal record. David Warner’s comments came following Sydney Thunder’s elimination from the ongoing BBL 2022-23.
The Australian opener had a busy summer across all formats. He played the white-ball series against Zimbabwe, New Zealand, England, and the West Indies, then the T20 World Cup, followed by each of the home Test matches against the West Indies and South Africa. Not to forget, the drama surrounding his now unsuccessful appeal to overturn the lifetime leadership ban imposed by CA played out in the background.
On his comeback to the Big Bash League, he also managed to appear in six BBL games.
“It’s been challenging,” Warner told reporters. “I’m quite tired, exhausted.”

After the awards event, the Australian Test team will have less than a week of rest before departing for India.
Chris Lynn and Marcus Stoinis, who are presently playing in the ILT20 League, have already decided to pass.
“There are a few guys who have gone to the UAE League, which aren’t going to the Cricket Australia awards,” Warner said.
“From my perspective, that would’ve been nice to have had another night at home. But it is what it is.”
David Warner has the task of finding consistent form with the bat after a Test summer that produced a remarkable double-century and a string of unimpressive efforts in addition to India’s challenging wickets.
