IND vs AUS LIVE – IND AUS 1st T20 Highlights: India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen completely helpless in 1st T20, courtesy SUPER-FLOP show by the Indian bowlers. Rohit had no qualms conceding that they were outplayed in the series opener in Mohali on Tuesday. Rohit looked very agitated during the POST-MATCH Conference. He pinned the blame on the rudderless and inconsistent bowling by his side. “I don’t think we bowled well. 200 is a good score to defend, and we didn’t take our chances in the field. It was a great effort from our batters, but the bowlers were not quite there,” Disappointed Rohit said at the post-match presentation.

IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma GUTTED with Bowlers show in 1st T20, says ‘they bowled very badly’: Check OUT

IND AUS 1st T20 Highlights: Rohit felt the partnership between Matthew Wade and Tim David was the turning point.

He said: “For us, it was just about that one wicket between Wade and Tim David. And we were not able to do that. I think they got a 60-odd partnership in 32 balls, which was a turning point from their perspective.”

“There are things we need to look at, but it was a great game for us to understand what went wrong. We know this is a high-scoring ground. You can’t relax even if you get 200. We took wickets to an extent, but they played really well. They played some extraordinary shots. If I was in that changing room, I would expect to chase that total.”

IND vs AUS: Hardik Pandya also suprised with BOWLERS SHOW

At the moment, defending targets is what India is struggling with. Their four-wicket loss to Australia in Mohali bore similarities to their defeats to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the recent Asia Cup. Pandya admitted without Bumrah defending targets has become very difficult.

“We all know exactly what Jasprit Bumrah brings to the side and how important he is for us,”

“There will be concerns here and there (but) we have got to trust our boys. These are the best fifteen people who are there in the country, that’s why they are there in the squad. Jasprit being there makes a big difference, obviously, but… he is coming back after an injury so it’s important to get enough time to come back and not put a lot of pressure on himself.

“As a team, we want to get better. Losing teaches you a lot and where we can get better. We are a process driven team and by the time the World Cup comes, we will make sure and get our processes better and see where we can improve. I am very confident about the guys. Few games here and there don’t change much.”

Chasing a massive 209, Australia needed 55 off the last four overs, admittedly on a very flat surface, and got over the line with as many as four balls to spare. Bhuvneshwar conceded 15 and 16 runs respectively in his last two overs, which sandwiched a 22-run over from Harshal.

“See we can’t pinpoint anyone. It’s a game,” Hardik said. “They have also conceded 24-25 run overs and it didn’t matter. It’s a bilateral series, we will get two more games and we will try to get batter.”
