Marsh (ankle) and Maxwell (broken leg) have both missed considerable time after undergoing surgery during the Australia domestic summer. But they are expected to participate in the three-match trip that will take place after the current Test campaign, with matches in Mumbai, Vizag, and Chennai.
Due to an Achilles injury that caused him to leave the Test series early, Josh Hazlewood, who led Australia in an ODI last summer, has been ruled out of the series.
