IND vs AUS LIVE: Is Rohit Sharma developing Virat Kohli as ‘BOWLING OPTION’? Kohli bowls for 30 mins at Mohali nets: CHECK OUT

Virat Kohli as Bowling Option? The former India captain first batted for almost 1 hour at the nets. He was immediately asked by Rahul Dravid to join the bowlers at the nets.

Kohli continuously bowled with his cross-legged action for almost 30-40 Minutes. Dravid kept monitoring him along with other members of the support staff.

Not only Dravid but in the pictures posted by Punjab Cricket Association, it is clearly seen other team members are also very animatedly and seriously watching Kohli bowl. Hardik Pandya, Ashwin – all were captured watching Kohli’s bowling efforts.

Kohli recently bowled a solitary over against Hong Kong in the recently-concluded Asia Cup.

IND vs AUS 1ST T20 LIVE: Match starts at 7:30PM, Will Kohli bowl in the match?

India will begin their T20 International series against Australia today. Kohli will be cynosure of the eyes after his impressive show with the bat at the Asia Cup.

After a short break from cricket, Kohli has returned with a renewed energy. The 33-year-old was India’s best batter at the Asia Cup, finishing as the tournament’s second-highest scorer with 276 runs in five games.

He also ended his century drought, which lasted almost three years, to equal Ricky Ponting’s tally of 71 international hundreds.

“It will be a very brave man to write Virat Kohli off. At any stage, he has shown for 15 years now that he is one of the greatest players of all time,” Australia captain Aaron Finch said on the eve of the series-opener.

“Particularly in T20 cricket, he’s someone who has developed and grown his game over such a long period that you always plan and prepare the best when you’re coming up against him,” he added.

Jasprit Bumrah Returns: It will also be interesting to watch Bumrah’s progress today. Has he fully recovered? Will he bowl full throttle against the Ausses?

Bumrah is returning from a back injury and it will be interesting to watch him in action today. If nets are any indication than Bumrah looked completely in rhytm. He was seen troubling almost every batsman he bowl to.

Bumrah found the outside edge of both Kohli and KL Rahul’s bats on several occasions before he had a go at Hardik Pandya.

Meanwhile Dinesh Karthik didn’t have much of a hit at the nets today. If indications are to go by he is unlikely to be in XI today. So will be the case with Deepak Hooda who also skipped the net session.
