Why Jasprit Bumrah Rested ? The exclusion of Bumrah is rather very interesting. He missed the Asia Cup due to back injury, and was deemed fit to make it to the Indian team for the World Cup and the Australia series. He underwent rehabilitation at the NCA Academy in Bengaluru.
At the toss, Rohit said he would ‘probably’ comeback in the next two matches. This brings to one important question – Is Bumrah rested or the player has not recovered fully?
Ahead of the T20 series, the news coming out from the BCCI corridors were positive. He even posted a photo with the NCA medical staff, stating how they played an important role in his recovery. He even passed the fitness test to be part of the Indian WC squad. If he is match fit, why has the management rested him?

Why Umesh Yadav ahead of Deepak Chahar? The team management preferred to extend Jasprit Bumrah’s rest is still understandable. But the reason to include Umesh Yadav, especially when he’s not even among the standbys of India’s T20 World Cup squad, was baffling.
Wouldn’t Deepak Chahar or Arshdeep Singh have been a more appropriate choice?
With the T20 World Cup round the corner, India needs to get their BOWLING ACT together. If one count out Mohali match, India just has 5 T20 matches to prepare for the World Cup and get their combination right.
The management picked Harshal Patel, who proved to be a SUPER-FLOP. Looked out of rhytm and gave away 49 Runs of his 4 Overs. It’s clear India has problems at hand on bowling front – and 5 more matches before the T20 WORLD CUP to sort those issues.
