Virat Kohli & Co. scripted history with a memorable 113 runs victory in the Boxing Day Test at SuperSport Park, Centurion, and breached South Africa’s fortress to give Indian fans the “New Year Gift”. Only England (2000) and Australia (2014) have defeated South Africa in Centurion.

The first Test win at Centurion also marks India’s fourth Test win on South African soil. team India is yet to win a Test series on South African soil and Centurion win comes as a perfect platform to achieve the milestone.

Elated with the victory, many former greats including the likes of VVS Laxman, Irfan Pathan, Amit Mishra, Parthiv Patel, as well as cricket presenter Harsha Bhogle took to their respective social media handles to laud Virat Kohli & Co. for the famous win.
Taking to his Twitter account former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan congratulated team India for the famous victory and lauded KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohd Shami for their outstanding efforts.

Former batting great VVS Laxman & NCA head coach congratulated Virat Kohli for the wonderful win and also remembered some of the famous wins at the Gabba & Lords.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri too congratulated Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, and the entire Indian contingent on the historic Test win.
