Earlier, England bowled out India for 365 runs in their first innings. They picked three quick wickets after Washington Sundar and Axar Patel’s exploits with the bat.

Washington Sundar’s 96-run knock helped India extend their dominance over England on the third day of the ongoing fourth Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. He missed out on what would have been a well-deserved maiden hundred while he saw his batting partners fall at the other end as India was bowled out.

Axar Patel contributed 43 runs and shared a century partnership with Sundar.

The first hour saw India scoring 50 runs as both Sundar and Axar looked to make the most of the bad balls from the visiting bowlers.

Earlier on Day 2, Rishabh Pant smashed 101 runs as India edged past England’s score of 205.

India requires a win or a draw in the match to ensure a series victory and also place in the WTC Finals.
