Bangladesh announced their 15-man squad for the 2nd Test against India on Sunday. The hosts have hit an injury crisis with Ebadot Hossain out of the game. The right-arm pacer was one of the bright sparks in the defeat at Chattogram. Tamim Iqbal continues to be ruled out due to injury. He has featured in no games on India’s tour to Bangladesh. Shoriful Islam has also been dropped from the squad.
“Ebadot received an injury on his back in the first Test. He will not be fit for the second Test. That’s why we took Nasum in his place though we have yet to decide whether we would play an extra spinner in Dhaka,” said selector Habibul Bashar.
In his absence, Zakir Hasan made his debut and made his mark with a scintillating century. Backup keeper Anamul Haque is also dropped, while Nasum Ahmed returns to the squad. Nasum Ahmed adds squad depth and is also a handy spinner.

The good news is Shakib Al Hasan is fit and will lead the side. The all-rounder struggled with an injury and did not bowl much. However, with the bat, he did score a fine half-century in the fourth innings.
