IND AUS Ahmedabad Tickets: The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has stated that on March 9 for the first day of the fourth Test match between India and Australia, spectators will be let into the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, due to security measures put in place for the event’s attendees, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, entry may be restricted in some locations. Notwithstanding accusations in local media that the stadium had been “locked out” as a result of the prominent visitor, GCA secretary Anil Patel denied such assertions. “Those are rumours. Tickets for the first day are available for spectators on the BookMyShow app,” Patel said on Sunday, according to Sportstar. “Only a few seats would be left out due to the security protocol. The rest are available for the spectators,” Patel said.
Only five stands, J5, K8, N1, N6, and P2, had tickets available when this publication checked the BMS app on Sunday evening, and those priced between Rs 200 and Rs 350 were sold out. Patel, however, added that counters will also be set up where customers could pick up actual tickets. This publication spoke with BCCI officials, who also confirmed that there are tickets available for fans for each of the five days.
Australian citizens will have their own counter, where they must: show a valid ID showing their identity; pay using Indian currency; and limit their purchases to a maximum of four tickets each.
India has a lot to play for in the Ahmedabad Test despite being up 2-1 in the series since a berth in the World Test Championship final is on the line following a nine-wicket loss in the third Test in Indore. Their future will be in Sri Lanka’s hands if they lose. The match is scheduled to take place from March 9 to March 13.
