Chasing a modest target of 220, India-A made it look easy. Prithvi Shaw and Ruturaj Gaikwad were off to a flying start, adding 82 runs in just 10 overs. While Gaikwad departed for 30, Shaw continued the assault on Kiwi bowlers. He smashed 11 fours and three sixes en route 77 off just 48 balls.

But once Shaw was dismissed, India lost wickets in bulk. Tilak Verma was dismissed for a golden duck while Rajat Patidar departed shortly. Sanju Samson took charge of the chase and played some beautiful shots to score 37 off 35. However, India A yet again lost two quick wickets. After Samson, Raj Bawa was dismissed for a duck.
But experienced Rishi Dhawan took control with Shardul Thakur. The two added 42-run stand to steer India-A clear. Dhawan remained unbeaten on 22 while Shardul smashed 25 off 24 laced with three fours and a six. With that, India clinched the series 2-0. The third and final match of the series will be played on Tuesday in Chennai.
Earlier Kuldeep Yadav derailed NewZealand-A innings by picking 4 wicket haul. His four-wicket haul also included a brilliant hat-trick. The Kiwis were all out for 219. The visiting team at one point were looking good for 250 plus total at 190/5. But Kuldeep picked wickets at regular intervals to finish with a 4/50 in 10 overs. Earlier Rachin Ravindra (61) & Joe Carter (72) scored half centuries for NewZealand-A.
