Imran Khan highly unlikely in World Cup ceremony after court postpones hearing without bail

Imran Khan unlikely to travel to India for World Cup Captain Ceremony with ongoing trial

Former Pakistan Cricket Team World Cup winning captain and Former Prime Minister continues to be in prison after the Special Court postponed his hearing till 14th November. As per reports from The Pakistan Frontier, the ICC has invited Imran Khan to be present for the Winning Captains Ceremony.

But with Imran Khan in jail and his court hearing being postponed, it is highly unlikely that the former Pakistan Prime Minister will be able to travel to India for the World Cup ceremony.

Ever since his arrest Imran Khan has been in the district jail in Attock. But during his trial hearing, he has been kept at the Adiala Jail at Rawalpindi since 26th September when the trial commenced.

“Cipher case hearing at Adiala Prison (was) adjourned till Tuesday, November 14, without any proceedings,” said Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in a statement.
