Max Verstappen started and ended the race in the first position itself. He also took the extra point as he set the fastest lap of the race. He was followed by his teammate Sergio Perez in the second position. McLaren’s Lando Norris claimed his first podium of the season as he finished third.

Imola GP: Drivers who scored points in the Imola Grand Prix.

George Russell finished the race in the fourth position after a close duel with Valtteri Bottas. The Alfa Romeo driver Bottas finished the race in the fifth position. It was heartbreak for Ferrari and the Tifosi fans as Charles Leclerc crashed. He was set for a P3 finish but ended the race in the sixth spot.

Yuki Tsunoda had a great outing in the office today as he finished in the seventh spot. He was followed by the veteran Sebastian Vettel who opened his points tally today after finishing eighth today. Kevin Magnussen could only manage to finish in the ninth spot as he again scored points for Haas. Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll could only manage a tenth spot finish.

Alex Albon who drives for Williams finished in the eleventh spot after battling it out with Galsy and Hamilton. Pierre Gasly did his very best to stop Hamilton from overtaking him and finished in the twelfth spot. Lewis Hamilton had a terrible day in the office as he crossed the finishing line in the thirteenth spot.

Esteban Ocon in his Alpine could only manage to finish in the fourteenth spot. He was followed by the rookie driver Guanyu Zhou, who finished in the fifteenth spot. Williams Nicholas Latifi couldn’t do much as he ended the race in the sixteenth position.

Mick Schumacher and Daniel Ricciardo finished the race in the seventeenth and eighteenth spots. It was heartbreak for Carlos Sainz once again as he had back-to-back DNFs against his name.

Sainz crashed his car on the first lap of the race and saw himself reeling in the gravel. He was then not able to move his car out of the gravel and had to retire from the race. The other veteran of the sport, Fernando Alonso also registered a DNF against his name.
