Red Bull have have not had a great start to the 2022 season as they have faced reliability issues. Defending world champion Max Verstappen had to retire twice from three races for mechanical failures, but despite the problems, the team from Austria will not be bringing upgrades to Imola.

While talking to the media about Red Bull’s upgrade plans, Horner said, “I wouldn’t say we are bringing a big package (to Imola). It’s all part of the evolution. But, of course, being a Sprint race, you get very little time to evaluate these things.”

The team have gotten through blended fortunes so far during the 2022 F1 season. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez both endured retirements in the season opener at Bahrain Grand Prix owing to fuel pump issues. However, Max won the following race at Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with Perez settling for a fourth spot finish.

As far as the car’s continued development all through the season, Horner stays sure about resolving its issues. Horner added, “I think it’s all part of the evolution and development of these cars. So as we learn more about the tyres and how the cars are performing, that gives you a development direction. And I think, over the first few races, we’ve got some very good direction for the development vein for the rest of the season.”
