Meanwhile, taking to Instagram, Ferrari expounded on the absence of lighting in the space of the city where the burglary occurred. It has been the subject of objections from nearby occupants for some time.

Ferrari wrote, “Via Salvatori has been completely in the dark for months. We have been reporting this for months. Well, yesterday evening in Via Salvatori, they have robbed us. Think of arranging the lamps sooner or later? Asking for a friend.”

In the midst of a scaled-down scrum, as Leclerc’s presence stood out of an ever-increasing number of fans, a criminal figured out how to grab Leclerc’s watch from his wrist and got away before he had even taken note.
With the thief having got away, Leclerc reported the matter to the police. They are presently researching and investigating whether the burglary was opportunistic or arranged ahead of time.

Leclerc is in Italy ahead of this weekend’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix that is occurring at Imola. He has already won two races out of three in this year’s Formula 1 campaign. First, he won the season opener at Bahrain Grand Prix and settled for a P2 finish in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Later on, he went on to win the Australian Grand Prix as well.

Meanwhile, Leclerc has been the brand ambassador of the Swiss watch brand Richard Mille. They even became the official partner of Ferrari last year itself.
Leclerc isn’t the first driver to be robbed of a costly watch. Last year, Lando Norris had a model of Richard Mille which was grabbed from his wrist after the final of the Euro 2020s at Wembley Stadium.
