ICC Test Rankings: Ravindra Jadeja World No 1 – With 175 runs and 9 wickets against Sri Lanka in the 1st Test, Ravindra Jadeja has leapfrogged Ravichandran Ashwin and Jason Holder to become new World No 1 all-rounder in Test cricket. He is followed by Holder at 2nd and Ashwin at No 3.
It’s not the first time that the Indian spinner has topped the all-rounder rankings, and his move to the summit comes as little surprise after a stunning individual showing during the first test against Sri Lanka in Mohali.

Jadeja’s Indian teammate Virat Kohli is also one of the significant movers in the latest rankings, with the former captain returning to the top five of the Men’s Batting Rankings, jumping ahead of Travis Head and new India skipper Rohit Sharma.
And Rishabh Pant’s quickfire 96 against Sri Lanka sees him move into the top ten at the expense of David Warner.
Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne remains the top-ranked batter in the world, and his rating of 936 has him at No.12 on the all-time list, with Ricky Ponting, Steve Smith and Don Bradman the only Aussies rated higher than the 27-year-old.

In the new ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, Bangladesh’s Nasum Ahmed is the big mover among the bowlers, jumping up 17 places to make the top ten.
South Africa’s Anrich Nortje’s move up to seventh above Mujeeb Ur Rahman is the only other change in the top ten.
