1. Hardik Pandya
Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Hardik Pandya has come back roaring back to form after a long layoff. The all-rounder has contributed with the ball in hand and has bowled at speeds of 140kmph. He has also taken the responsibility of leading from the front with the bat in hand. Pandya has so far scored 228 runs at an average of 76 in the ongoing IPL season.
The GT skipper has also been a revelation as the leader of the team. He has been street smart with his captaincy moves, and proactive in the field. Pandya’s all-around contribution is certainly proving to be beneficial for GT.

- Umran Malik
Pace, pace, and more pace SRH pacer Umran Malik has been breathing fire with speeds above 150kmph. The youngster bowled a fiery over to Matthew Wade and Hardik Pandya, which left the duo gasping for breath. Malik’s average speed is 145kmph and his slowest ball is around 140kmph. The only problem with Malik has been is erratic lines and lengths.
If he shows improvement on that front then Malik would wreak havoc with the ball in hand for team India.
- Yuzvendra Chahal
RR leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been phenomenal in the ongoing IPL 2022. So far he has taken 12 wickets and is proving to be very effective in the middle overs. The leg spinner has bowled tight lines and lengths and has conceded just 6.80 runs per over. Chahal’s wicket-taking abilities could prove to be an X- factor for team India during the T20 World Cup 2022.
- Kuldeep Yadav
DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav, the other half of the famous KULCHA combination has also been in awesome form. After not getting enough chances in KKR for two years, Yadav 2.0 has made a statement of sorts by bamboozling opponents with his googlies. He has so far taken 10 wickets and has earned laurels from Sunil Gavaskar and other cricketing experts.
- T Natarajan
Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan feels T Natarajan should be in India’s plans for T20 World Cup. The SRH pacer has been deadly in the middle overs and death. The left-arm pacer has taken 11 wickets so far in 5 IPl games and has overshadowed Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Natarajan’s ability to bowl Yorkers and bring the ball from that angle makes him an X-factor player.

ICC T20 World Cup: 3 players who will be out of favor
‘1. Ravichandran Ashwin
RR off-spinner Ashwin has not been in his elements so far in the ongoing IPL. He has not picked wickets regularly and is also leaking a lot of runs. RCB wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik smacked him for 21 runs and that costed RR the game. He also failed to pick wickets against SRH and gave away 35 runs.

- Venkatesh Iyer
KKR all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer has not been able to replicate his heroics with the bat in this year’s IPL season. The southpaw has scored only fifty against MI and has woefully looked out of form in the rest of the games. He has not bowled also. With Pandya coming roaring back to form, Iyer might not find a place in the T20 World Cup team.
- Deepak Hooda
LSG all-rounder Deepak Hooda has contributed well in two games but has not been effective with his off-spin. Hooda’s lack of contribution with the ball might see him going out of favor.
