Sam Curran put on a remarkable bowling display against Afghanistan in the Super 12 match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Saturday, helping England dismiss Mohammed Nabi’s team for a pitiful score of 112. Later, England completed the chase with five wickets and 11 deliveries remaining.
Right from the start of the game, the England bowlers applied pressure on the Afghanistan batters. In the powerplay, they held the Afghans to less than six runs per over, but Mohammad Nabi’s team still had some hope because they had wickets in hand. But in the end, it didn’t matter because Curran bowled an outstanding session to dismiss them for 112.
