Seemingly not content with the 239 runs he scored during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Yadav was dismissed just once and finished as the leading run-scorer during India’s recent T20I series in New Zealand with a total of 124 runs.

Yadav smashed a brilliant unbeaten 111 during the second match of that series in Mount Maunganui and after that knock at Bay Oval, the 32-year-old rose to a career-high rating of 895 points. An innings of just 13 in the third and final game of the series in Napier dropped Yadav’s rating to 890 points, but the dynamic right-hander still holds a career-best 54-point break over his nearest challenger at the top of the T20I batter rankings.

Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan (836 rating points) maintains his place at No.2 on the latest T20I rankings for batters. At the same time, New Zealand’s Devon Conway (788) jumps in front of Babar Azam (778) and into third place following his team-high 84 runs during the series against India.

There were a host of other movers on the latest T20I batter rankings following that rain-affected series in New Zealand, with India opener Ishan Kishan (up 10 spots to 33rd) making an eye-catching rise.

New Zealand duo Glenn Phillips (up one spot to seventh) and Kane Williamson (up five spots to 35th) also appeared in good touch against India and were rewarded by moving up the latest rankings list for batters.

There was no change inside the top 10 on the T20I bowler rankings this week, although India seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar (up two spots to 11th) and New Zealand veteran Tim Southee (up two places to equal 14th) made some ground just outside.

Meanwhile, a host of Australia stars were the big winners on the latest ODI rankings on the back of their dominant series sweep at home over England.

Experienced opener David Warner scored a century and a half-century during that series and that helped the 36-year-old move up one place to fifth overall behind No.1-ranked Babar on the latest list for batters.

Fellow veteran Steve Smith jumps three places to seventh overall, while left-hander Travis Head – who finished as the leading run-scorer for the series with 240 runs – improves 12 spots to 30th.

Two of Australia’s bowlers also make good gains, with left-arm quick Mitchell Starc moving up four spots to fourth overall and spinner Adam Zampa rising to a career-high rating of 655 points and jumping eight spots to equal seventh after picking up more wickets (11) than any other player during the series.
