“The BCCI AGM has decided to give powers to office bearers on BCCI’s representative to ICC. As far as whom BCCI will back in the ICC election we will decide when the bridge comes,” BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla told media after the AGM on Tuesday.

BCCI AGM LIVE: Key Decisions
- One representative of the General Body was elected in the Apex Council of the BCCI: Mr. MKJ Majumdar.
- Two representatives in the Indian Premier League Governing Council were elected: Mr. Arun Singh Dhumal; and Mr. Avishek Dalmiya.
- The audited accounts for FY 2021-22 were passed and adopted by the General Body.
- The Annual Budget of FY 2022-23 was approved by the General Body.
- The Senior Men’s Future Tour Programs for 2023-2027 and Senior Women’s Future Tour Programs for 2022-2025 were approved by the General Body.
- The General Body approved to conduct the Women’s Indian Premier League.
- The members of the General Body appreciated the efforts of the outgoing office bearers, IPL Governing Council Chairman and members, and Councillors for the work undertaken in their term.

According to a report by leading Hindi news daily Dainik Jagran, a meeting of top BCCI officials took place on Thursday. And it was decided among the officials that Ganguly will not contest the elections.
The meeting according to the report was attended by Ganguly himself along with Jay Shah, Vice President Rajiv Shukla, Treasurer Arun Dhumal & former BCCI President N. Srinivasan.
The last date for filing the nominations for the ICC top job is October 20. The ICC Board will meet from November 11-13 in Melbourne. The much-debated exit of Ganguly from the BCCI has already garnered attention not just in sporting but in the political arena too and it will be interesting to see if the former skipper is considered for the top job.
The other names doing the rounds include Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and former BCCI president N Srinivasan.
Srinivasan is eligible to contest but it remains to be seen if the BCCI wants him to throw his hat in the ring, considering his age. He is 78.
Thakur is expected to be busy during the ICC Board meet as Himachal Pradesh is going to polls in a single phase on November 12.
