Huge Lloris retired from national duty and focused entirely on club football. The 36-year-old goalkeeper had a tough season with gloves and also had some injury issues. Tottenham struggled in Premier League and they have already failed to retain the Champions League qualification for next season.

There are some rumours going around the Frenchman as he will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.  Lloris will see his contract expire in 2024. Despite having one more year left in his contract, he is not interested to stay at the North London club.

As per The Times, the Tottenham captain has been offered a big money deal by a Saudi club. The report adds that the Saudi club wants to offer him three times his current wages in Premier League.

The Frenchman was last played for Tottenham against Newcastle when he conceded six goals. Tottenham made a record of conceding five goals in the first half. It was a poor display from the Tottenham goalkeeper.

After the poor performance against the Magpies, Lloris spoke to Sky Sports: “It is very embarrassing, we should apologise to the fans. We didn’t show a great face today. We could not match Newcastle’s performance.

He also added, “We were late in all the aspects. We completely missed the first part of the game. It is really painful today. It is not talking about tactics, we could not fight.”

He accepted his mistakes by saying, “It is difficult to assess. There was a lack of pride. To concede four goals in 20 minutes. We could not even react and bounce back.”

Lloris is now 36 years old and he is not in Tottenham’s future plans. The club is looking for his replacement and their first choice is Jordan Pickford. They can also pick Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Huge Lloris is currently out for the remainder of the season due ti injury. It means we can say that he has played his last game for Tottenham.
