How Much Money Did Alexander Volkanovski Earn By Knocking Out Yair Rodriguez In UFC 290 Main Event?

As per the reports, Alexander Volkanovski will receive a base salary of $1,042,000 with a fight-win bonus worth $50,000. He will also earn sponsorship earnings between $50,000 to $80,000. Earlier this year, he earned a base of $1 million for his fight with Islam Makhachev. Despite the loss, he earned a bonus worth $50,000. At UFC 290, Alexander Volkanovski possibly will go home with a total fight purse worth $1,110,000.

Meanwhile, Yair Rodriguez will receive a base salary of $500,000 with incentives worth $42,000. Moreover, he will also earn an equal bonus similar to Volkanovski worth $50,000. In his previous title fight, he earned a total fight purse worth $500,000.

Alexander Volkanovski aims for the UFC Lightweight Champion once again

During the post-fight interview, Alexander disclosed his next goal: getting the UFC lightweight title. Earlier this year, he almost defeated Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title until his unanimous loss. However, he has planned to undergo surgery on one of his hands. His next fight won’t be seen soon until the featherweight champion feels healthy enough to return to the cage.

Currently, Charles Oliveira is the potential contender to face Islam Makhachev for the second time. As per the rumors, the two fighters are expected to face each other in October in Abu Dhabi.
