The Hockey World Cup 2023 opening ceremony was held in Cuttack on Wednesday. Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh, Disha Patni and others were invited to perform at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. It was a colourful affair with many hockey lovers coming out in huge numbers to support the event. However, will they come out in huge numbers to fill the stands in the next two weeks or so.

India will look to kick off the tournament on a winning note. However, the hockey fans in India and around the world will get four opportunities to witness some high-quality hockey action. Other than India, there are three more matches in store.
The tournament opener will be played between Argentina and South Africa from Pool A. The action starts from 01 PM from Bhubaneswar. The second Pool A match takes place between Australia and France, which starts at 3 PM.
As the evening kicks in, the hockey action shifts to Rourkela, where two Pool D matches are lined up. The first one is between England and Wales, due to start at 5 pm IST.
The last match features hosts India taking on Spain, and it starts at 7 pm IST.
