Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo discussed Volkanovski’s edge over Makhachev in terms of height. According to Cejudo, short fighters are more difficult to knock down and are quick to get back up. He continued by saying that Volkanovski’s tiny stature wasn’t a problem; instead, it was the wrestling.

Volkanovski, according to Cejudo, was an excellent wrestler who managed to secure the takedown at the very end. Johnson continued, “I knew Volk would offer a different struggle than Islam has ever had. “I believe there were flaws in Islam’s wrestling, hitting, and the overall fight,” Cejudo continued.
