A source told, “It was a closely guarded secret to all but their closest family and friends. They wanted to be officially married in the UK before they head to France. That will be a fairytale wedding day for Fern.”
The couple met over 10 years ago and chose to keep all details of their relationship hidden save for close friends and family. It is reported that the venue was only informed to the guests through text message on the morning of the wedding day. Harry’s parents, Zoe and Alan, were said to have travelled from their home in Sheffield to attend the event.

Harry and Fern, both 29, met when they were 18 years old. Maguire was a member of Sheffield United’s youth team at the time. Fern earned a first-class degree in science and physiotherapy in 2017, while Harry became the world’s most expensive defender two years later when Man United paid £80 million to sign him from Leicester City. The couple has been engaged since 2018 and has two children, Lillie Saint, three, and Piper Rose, two.
This summer, they will take their marriage vows again in a beautiful ceremony in France. Daisy, Harry’s younger sister, is expected to be a bridesmaid at the more lavish wedding, which will take place at a chateau in Burgundy. His brothers Joe, 30, and Laurence, 25, will also be there, as will his teammate Jordan Pickford, whose wife Megan Davison will reportedly be another bridesmaid.
