Jimmy Greaves scored a whopping 266 goals for Tottenham Hotspur in a total of 379 appearances. He was one of the greatest strikers of all time and it’s no wonder that his record was held for 53 years. Kane broke the record with 416 appearances for the club.
Kane has celebrated the occasion wearing his special boots against Chelsea by scoring the team’s second goal. In the London derby, the team cruised through with a 2-0 win at home. Oliver Skipp took advantage of a poor clearance by Enzo Fernandez and shot the first goal for the team. 8 minutes before full time, Kane sealed their win with an easy finish as he was left unmarked in a dangerous position.
It is no wonder that the 29-year-old still has many tricks up his sleeves. He will surely keep on scoring many more goals for the Spurs, but this record does hold special. It marked a special occasion for Kane as he goes on the history pages of the club where he has spent all his life.
