Hardik Pandya will lead India as the Ajit Agarkar led selection committee named the squad for the IND vs WI T20 series. IPL stars Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal earned their maiden call up, while Rinku Singh & Ruturaj Gaikwad were snubbed. Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi also earned a recall to the team.
The BCCI Selection Committee met on Wednesday to narrow down on the squad. Ajit Agarkar, recently appointed chairman, continued India’s T20 Reboot with no Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli. Hardik Pandya will continue to lead with Suryakumar Yadav as deputy. Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan and Axar Patel are the only 3 players part of the entire West Indies tour.
The Senior Men’s Selection Committee on Wednesday picked India’s squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies to be played in the Caribbean Islands and in Florida, USA.
