Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia Date

A week later than expected, on April 22, Baltimore’s Davis and Garcia of Victorville, California, made their Showtime Pay-Per-View main event’s formal announcement via their social media profiles on February 24. The boxing bout was initially scheduled for April 15 after Davis defeated Hector Luis Garcia on January 7, but it got postponed by one week. Their negotiations ended after a protracted period.

On November 17, Davis and Garcia declared on social media that they would square off in Las Vegas on an arbitrary day in 2023 at a random location. Davis and Garcia will participate in two news conferences in the upcoming week to promote their 12-round, 136-pound battle, which will take place six weeks from Saturday night.

Davis vs Garcia Venue

The eagerly anticipated Davis vs Garcia boxing match will occur at T-Mobile Arena. Davis-Garcia tickets are expected to sell out soon. T-Mobile Arena has a capacity of about 22,000 spectators for boxing, about 5,000 more than the neighboring MGM Grand Garden Arena, which has hosted numerous major boxing events since it opened in 1993.

Since it opened in 2020, Allegiant Stadium hasn’t hosted a boxing event. Allegiant Stadium could accommodate more than 70,000 spectators for boxing because of its wide floor seating.

Garcia and Davis have yet to perform as the headlining act at T-Mobile Arena, despite Davis having sold out numerous cities nationwide. Each of Davis and Garcia’s fights at T-Mobile Arena took place on pay-per-view programs that included Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez.

Davis vs Garcia betting odds

Most bettors will have correctly given Tank Davis the advantage in this yet-to-take-place bout, even though it is a 50/50 contest. What benefits does Ryan Garcia have in this super lightweight match now that it is all said and done?

First off, Garcia undoubtedly boasts the sport’s fastest hands. Davis is as quick, lacks Garcia’s physical strength, and is 5’10” tall. Garcia has the advantage over his rival on paper.

But fights in the ring don’t take place on paper, and Gervonta Davis is by much the superior fighter over Garcia. It is not to say that the fight is a lock; far from it. But Ryan Garcia’s short career will face its most significant challenge.

The current favorite is Gervonta Davis, who has odds of -260, while Ryan Garcia has odds of +200. The first encounter between Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) will occur on Wednesday in Manhattan. The opponents will then fly to Los Angeles to attend a second press conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills.
