Related to his infamous hit-and-run case from 2020, ‘Tank’ was under house arrest which he violated by staying at the Four Seasons Hotel and a $3.4 million worth penthouse instead of trainer Calvin Ford’s one-bedroom stay.
He will now have to serve another community. However, ‘Tank’ is likely to appear inside the ring again and Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza shed light on whom we can see the undefeated knockout artist face next.
In a chat with FightHype, Espinoza said, “I think it’s an option (Re-matching Isaac Cruz). You know and I think it’s an interesting one because (of) Isaac’s style and the fact that neither one of those guys was completely satisfied with how the first fight went.”
“But there’s plenty of other guys that we could look at. We will look at as well.”
The Showtime representative also said that a potential fight between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney is also in “preliminary discussions”.
However, it’s not likely to be happening next for either man, as Regis Prograis can get a shot at ‘The Dream’ Haney.
That said, Espinoza highly rated the possibility of hosting Davis vs Haney in the future. A possible matchup between Gervonta Davis and Chris Colbert is also in the early stages of development, per Espinoza.
29-0 as a multi-weight champion, Gervonta Davis is one of the most electrifying knockout punchers of this era.
Boasting 27 KOs so far, his last win is the prime example of why boxers should never sleep on Tank Davis’ abilities.

Following an interesting build-up, Gervonta Davis silenced Ryan Garcia on April 2023 at Las Vegas in what turned out to be one of the biggest fights of the year.
Davis snatched Garcia’s unbeaten record and won the bout via knockout in round seven of the 12-rounds headliner.
‘Tank’ scored his first knockdown in round two and looked dominant till the bout lasted. Now that he is done beating Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis has become an even bigger name in today’s boxing. It remains to be seen who he faces next.
