Ved Bamb, a 23-year-old software engineer from Nagpur, sharing his experience at the Pokémon World Championships, said, “I am proud and feel honored to be one of the first Indian Pokémon GO players to qualify for the finals of the Pokémon World Championship 2024 and represent India on a global stage. It has been an incredible and memorable opportunity to connect with Pokémon fans from all over the world and also compete with some of the best of the Trainers internationally. When I started playing Pokémon GO, almost a decade ago, I never imagined Pokémon GO would be such an integral part of my life and that I would be in Honolulu representing my country and secure the fourth position. This has been a dream for me and I thank my family, friends and the Pokémon GO community across India who supported and encouraged me. I hope that I can be an inspiration to fellow gamers in India to participate more and pursue their passion in esports.”
