Riot Games announces India Closed Qualifiers for ‘Convergence’, Know more

India Closed Qualifiers for ‘Convergence’ will kick off on 30th November. Riot Games onboards Lenovo as the Title Sponsor for the tournament.

Riot Games, in collaboration with The Esports Club, will highlight India’s esports prowess through ‘Convergence. This marks the company’s inaugural international VALORANT esports tournament in India. The event will take place from December 14 to 17, 2023, at the Manpho Convention Center in Bangalore. Riot introduces Lenovo as the title sponsor of the event.

The India’s Closed Qualifiers will kick off on November 30th. This will provide Indian VALORANT teams with an opportunity to compete against international teams. Six Indian teams, chosen based on their performance in the 2023 domestic season, will engage in a Double-elimination format. The winner of the closed qualifiers will participate in the LAN event.

The main Convergence event will kick off on 14th December. The event is set to go live in English on Riot’s Pacific Channels and in Hindi on Riot’s South Asia channels. The Esports Club will also carry the broadcasts on their channels. 

Riot Games has been actively fostering community engagement and enhancing the player experience over the past year. Recently, Riot Games celebrated the one-year anniversary of VALORANT’s first-ever Indian agent Harbor. They conducted a beach clean-up with the Indian gaming community and also commemorated the third anniversary of VALORANT in India with BHARAT VALORANT celebrations.

The gaming community can witness the live action of the upcoming Convergence tournament through free and paid ticket options.
