Niantic announces the details of Pokémon GO January 2025 Community Day. It is scheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2025! Players can join the Trainers in their area and catch Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon. It will be featured during January 2025 Community Day!
Pokémon GO January 2025 Community Day: Locations
This day long Community Day meetups will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. IST in 34 cities. Check out the list below:

Pokémon GO January 2025 Community Day: Featured Pokémon
Sprigatito will appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!
Featured attack
Evolve Floragato (Sprigatito’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Meowscarada that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.

- Trainer Battles: 100 power
- Gyms and raids: 100 power
Attack Availability Updates – Starting with the event and continuing afterwards, Meowscarada will be able to learn the Charged Attack Flower Trick.
Flower Trick
- Trainer Battles: 30 power
- Gyms and raids: 75 power
Community Day Special Research – Players are now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button. Gifting cannot be completed if the recipient has purchased a Special Research ticket or has been gifted one already.
Event Bonuses
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
While most bonuses are only active during the three-hour event period, these will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
