Pokémon GO, one of the leading augmented reality mobile games by Niantic, is excited to introduce its latest feature – Dynamax, a phenomenon that causes Pokémon to appear larger than life, surrounded by a mysterious red glow and swirling clouds. This exciting new feature is now available in the game offering an exhilarating way to engage with Pokémon like never before.
Starting September 10, 2024, new volatile locations, Power Spots, will be available on the map where Max Particles, a mysterious energy source, are concentrated. These Power Spots are the key to encountering Dynamax Pokémon and allow Pokémon to Dynamax. Trainers should not miss out on the chance to explore their surroundings, as these spots are temporary and shift locations every few days, making each adventure unique.
Max Particles are the energy sources essential to enter Dynamax Battles and enhance Max Moves. Trainers can collect them by interacting with Power Spots, engaging with Adventure Sync, or by purchasing packs from the in-game shop. The particles entail a daily limit on the number of particles collected, so Trainers must plan their adventures wisely!

With Dynamax Battles beginning on September 10, up to four trainers can team up to take on powerful Dynamax Pokémon to make the Pokémon GO adventure extravagant. These battles are intense and strategic, with each trainer’s Pokémon using powerful Max Moves such as Max Attack, Max Spirit, and Max Guard – to defeat the Power Spot Boss.

Adding to the fun, Trainers can station their Pokémon at a Power Spot, giving other Trainers a slight boost in attacks and earn extra rewards. The more Pokémon stationed, the higher the boost!
- Dynamax Pokémon live in Power Spots and will appear at the same time a new Power Spot appears.
- Use Max Particles to enter the Dynamax Battle, which are only used up once a battle is won.
- Each Tier Pokémon will have different costs to enter.
- Only D-MAX Pokémon can be used in these battles.
