Free Fire India is no longer available on the Google Play Store for pre-registration. Garena announced the pre-registration process on 30 Sept

The popular battle royale game Free Fire India was banned in India in February 2022 due to concerns that it was sending user data to servers in China. Garena is working on a new version of the game that would comply with Indian regulations. As a result, Free Fire India is no longer available for download on the Google Play Store. Players can still downloaded and play Free Fire MAX which is still playable in India.

On December 2, 2023, Free Fire India “disappeared” from the Play Store, causing panic among the game’s fans. The store page has been removed from Google’s Play Store and it is currently inaccessible.

What is Free Fire India?

Free Fire India is an India-only version of Free Fire that was supposed to launch sometime this year. Registrations for the game were open and many speculated that the game would be released in September 2023, but there has been no update from Garena for months. Now, the game’s store page has mysteriously disappeared.

Why was it removed?

There are a few possible reasons why Free Fire India was removed from the Play Store.

  • Google may have removed the game because it was not yet compliant with all of Google’s guidelines. This is common for games that are still in development.
  • Garena may have removed the game from the Play Store in order to release it on their own app store. This would give the company more control over the game and how it is distributed.
  • The game may have been removed from the Play Store due to security concerns. This is a possibility, as there have been reports of security vulnerabilities in the original Free Fire game.

It is unclear when or if Free Fire India will be available for download on the Google Play Store again.
