Convergence India Closed Qualifiers to begin on 2nd December, Check teams

‘Convergence’ is all set to host an India Closed Qualifiers into the upcoming tournament. A total of six teams will battle to qualify.

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Riot Games and The Esports Club are excited to present ‘Convergence’, an electrifying VALORANT esports tournament set to spotlight India’s burgeoning esports scene. With Lenovo proudly stepping up as the Title Sponsor for this momentous occasion, Riot Games is unwavering in its dedication to fostering homegrown talent. The tournament, slated for December 14th to 17th at the Manpho Convention Center in Bangalore, promises to ignite fierce competition and unveil India’s most formidable VALORANT players.

Convergence India Closed Qualifiers will witness Indian VALORANT teams earn a chance to qualify. The closed qualifiers will invite the top six professional VALORANT teams from India to battle it out and secure a spot in the main tournament. The six teams will follow a Double-elimination format to select the home team that will join the Convergence main event. The matches of the closed qualifiers will go live on The Esports Club’s YouTube Channel, starting on 2nd December.

The main event of the Convergence event starting on 14th December will be broadcast live in English on Riot’s Pacific Channels and in Hindi on Riot’s South Asia channels. The Esports Club will also carry the broadcasts on their channels. 

Riot Games has been actively involved in boosting India’s gaming scene. Over the past year, they’ve launched multiple initiatives to foster community engagement and enhance the player experience.

They recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of VALORANT’s first-ever Indian agent Harbor by conducting a beach clean-up with the Indian gaming community. They also commemorated the third anniversary of VALORANT in India with BHARAT VALORANT celebrations.
