G2 Esports Unveiled their New Additions to Valorant Roster: Riot Games have unveiled their plans for the upcoming season of Valorant Champions Tour at the completion of Valorant Champions 2021. Professional Valorant organizations around the world are making the required revisions to prepare their rosters for VCT 2022, which is slated to begin in January 2022.
G2 Esports will compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour again in 2022, with a completely redesigned EU team for the second year of official participation. The former Giants Gaming trio of Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas, Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk Lundborg, and coach Daniil “pipsoN” Meshcheryakov have all joined the organization.

Report of Joining Former CS: GO trio for G2’s valorant lineup was circulating for a long. For the 2022 Valorant Champions Tour season, Meddo and hoody will replace Wassim “keloqz” Cista and Jose Luis “koldamenta” Arangurn Herrero in the starting lineup, while pipsoN will replace Neil “neilzinho” Finlay.

G2 had better success in their first VCT season, especially following their mid-season shakeup, being the first team to defeat Sentinels on LAN at Masters Berlin and reaching the tournament’s semifinals. They were a couple of slots short of Champions due to VCT points collected, however, they lost back-to-back games in the Last Chance Qualifier against Liquid and Guild, bringing their season to a close in mid-October.
